Maybe it is a trick and the one you think is more intelligent is not?
One is indeed more intelligent than the other but only in a certain way. The blonde girl can do a few things that the other can’t and vice versa. They are both as intelligent as one another. No difference at all. They have different capabilities, and both excel in certain areas.
Are most people roughly as intelligent as one another?
Some of us are clearly more capable than others in certain domains.
However, we measure, we test intelligence is specific ways.
Some have a lot of knowledge and can draw ideas together rather astutely. We can be adept at solving some types of problems whilst being slow to solve problems of a different nature. Being adept at engineering, adept at story telling or adept at formulating responses to arguments. Untold ways in which we can show intelligence.
We think of each member of the population lying somewhere on a bell curve.
Maybe there are multiple overlapping bell curves instead. The bulk of the population may have roughly the same level of intelligence albeit in a different form. Much of which is hard to measure.
Some intelligence is more useful for earning money, gaining notoriety and getting what we want. Luck plays a part. We value certain types of intelligence over others.
Some have the intelligence to persist, to see something through. Some have the intelligence to seek more rewards in the days and weeks ahead sacrificing a little today. Some have the intelligence to share, reaping the rewards of kindness and consideration.
Sometimes it takes a while to see the brightness seep out. It took me a while to see it in someone the once. When I realised how bright she was, I was taken in by her. My early judgement was wrong. That was a mistake, but luckily, I saw it in time.
